Hi all,

I've searched the forums already and have already a "basic" idea on what is required in rego-ing an interstate car to NSW Syd.

However, I still have a few Q's which I want to straighten out so as to not dig myself into a hole.

1) When I buy the car, I should ask for the following docs (if he is missing any of these, would I still be able to rego the car in syd? If i'm missing any, could someone please add on to the list?)

a) Compliance papers

B) Papers proving he purchased the car back in 1998

c) Cert of Registration signed by the previous owner

d) Receipt

e) Engineers Cert ?? Would it automatically have an engineer cert seeing it is an import?

2) Another Q is the that the car already has a few mods (full exhaust, ARC air box, FMIC, BOV, turbo timer, boost controller).. I plan to replace the atmo BOV with a PB but do i need to get the rest engineered in Syd before i rego the car? Also , are 18" wheels too big for an r34 to pass blue slip?

3) I'm aware that i have (14)? days to rego it in my name after i buy the car?. However, taking the car to AUVIS, third tier inspection and organizing the CTP "might?" take longer than this seeing there are usally long lines at RTA and booking times? Would would happen in this case?

Thanks All

Sorry for the essay =

Yes you will need all the compliance papers, proof of purchase and anything else you can get your hands on to be safe. Regarding the mods it depends how picky the auvis guy is when giving you a blue slip, but mainly they are looking at engine numbers, chassis and compliance that everything matches up and all the compliance work has met adr standards.

for your last question that 14day transfer does not apply in your situation because you are putting fresh nsw rego on it.
