It's international English here marveling is not a far fetched word in either spelling.

The Queen would possibly not use it. But the rest of the population has no issue with elevator (lift), holidays (vacation),  gas (petrol), highway (motorway), apartment (flat) or marveling :)

There is no way that anyone in the US uses marvelling in that way.  Nor Australia.  Nor Canada.  Excluding India, which we will ignore because there is no case for normalising the way that they use (abuse/destroy) English, that pretty much leaves the UK and a few places in Africa and SE Asia.....which I have also spent a lot of time in and never heard anyone use it.

Yeah marvelling and contemplating have entirely different meanings....

In any case, yeah, OP6 is the better housing to use if you ever really want to lean on the thing. Not often that people have both to choose from, and typically not really worth "upgrading" to if you already have a hiflow with the 21U housing.

That said, the Turbo is pretty much the most important part of the car for performance, so unless for some reason you must have stock turbine housings, or are aiming for 220kw don't use one.

I think you'll find the static compression ratio is the same . Lower volume combustion chamber and the middle of the piston crown is lower . On the R33 spec RB25DET pistons the "plateau" is taller effectively giving deeper valve head reliefs . From memory the Neo turbo pistons may have the oil cooling channels behind the ring pack area like RB26 pistons do .

Pretty sure the Nissan WSM shows the static CR as 9.0:1 .  And they used a slightly larger side mount intercooler .

I'm at 260RKW with the currently installed hybrid, or did you mean 320RKW?

Alas I prefer responsiveness to top end since the car is used 99% on public roads.

    • Only in a market where OBD was a thing. The rest of the world was quite happy to let the US EPA only affect US cars for quite a while. The* problem with datalogs is that unless you are very familiar with what every trace should look like, on their own and as an ensemble, you can and will see weird shit that can and will lead you astray, not realising that what you are seeing is the normal consequence of various transient inputs. *Really, "a" problem, as there are of course many other problems too. Look, these cars are so bloody simple that if it is missing or stumbling, the obvious thing is to break out the old mental diagnostic list and just go do all the things that you know you should. After proving that the plugs are clean and sound, ditto the coil stalks, coils, loom connectors, etc, and then making sure that there is fuel pressure at about the right numbers (while driving!, not while sitting in the garage free blipping it), then maybe you go looking at AFM voltages, manually testing the igniter, putting a scope on the CAS, etc. Then you're into pulling the injectors for a spray pattern look-see and perhaps a clean, squirting carby cleaner around the inlet manifold looking for leaks, and all the more annoying and esoteric, but still common as muck faults that these things have. I wouldn't ever bother looking at the trims, as they are usually bullshit on these old clunkers anyway.
