Fuel pump for a GTR?

I tried searching the forums for this but all I could find was people selling their GTR pumps so thought id try asking here.

My car will be receiving some new turbos and a PFC soon, and the next step I will be looking at is upgrading the fuel system.

Ive got injectors sorted, but dont know which way to go with a pump.

I want a straight swap so no messing around, and the nismo items etc from places like greenline seem to want around $500 so I think they're out of the question.

I think ive read a bosch 044 pump is direct replacment and can handle around 550hp, is this true or is it an external pump? where would be the cheapest place in brisbane to source one?

My last option was a walbro pump but know nothing of model numbers or fitting details, but people claim to buy these for around $150 or am I reading US websites or something?

I'd get a Tomei or Nismo pump - fits straight in & has the flow you'd be after but your looking at about $400-500. The Bosch 044 is cheaper but depends if mucking around with it whether its worth it. I personally went with the Tomei.

Its a GTR so surely a extra hundred bucks is worth it to get a straight replacement.

i read somewhere today that u can pick up a good walbro in aus for about 250 if u search around

If you're getting a workshop to do the work, Jap name brands work out to about the same as a Bosch after messing around with filters, and wiring in new plugs etc. I used a Nismo and it dropped in easy as.

As Penfold said - it's a GTR - you don't make many (reliable) performance enhancements for under $500 dollars on these cars.

i wouldnt be mucking around with bosch pumps unless you need huge fuel flow for 700hp...

get the nismo direct fot pump.... you will pay nearly the same for after market bosch by the time you fit it and it wont fit as nice....

plenty for 600hp to 650hp at the engine...
