25 head gasket seal onto rb30 block at water gallery

Do most guys weld some more steel here for a good seal or consensus is it isn't needed?

I have heard both but can't find any comments on sau about it?

I have a good fabricator that I reckon can do it then obviously just get the block decked.

Thoughts?

I had my fabricator weld some more material around there and skim the head for reassurance, you don't want it leaking later on.

I welded the head on Mine to suit the rb30 gasket

Never welded mine..ive got a 25-30 .using a nitto 26 head gasket

RB25 gasket. Standard Nissan. Didn't do anything and it seals fine. 370kw and I give it an extremely hard time no leaks.

Did you keep vct mate?
Is that why or another reason?
I am not keeping vct.

I thought the done thing was 26 headgasket and make sure the oil gallery in the 25 head was blocked off. I'm now worried ad I'm in the process of doing mine lol

It's all good mate I spoke to my machinist and he said rb26 or 30 gasket. welding the block isn't required.
