rb25 gt3076r to gtx3076r gen2 or efr7670 upgrade. Is it worth it?

Current setup is a built motor, some mild head work, 256 poncams, 6boost manifold, turbosmart gate and gt3076r .82 rear(purchased in 2008), Flex setup. Car makes plenty of power but due to the track I race on would like a bit more response and wouldn't mind a bit more power as I've have pushed the current turbo as far it goes. 

I've done a lot of google searches but can't find any info relating to rb engines with the new gtx3076 gen2 turbo, I know I could step down the rear housing size but can't justify the cost of rear housing change on the old gt core.

Other option i have considered is a BW efr 7670 t3 IWG on a ported std manifold that my current setup originally used as I can do the swap for about the same money as gtx but from what i have read the std manifold can become a restriction.

How much more response would i get with the new gtx or the proposed efr setup? any other issues with using the std manifold with the efr?

Any help or info would be great

Is it worth it is all relative.  Going to an EFR would be an expensive exercise with the amount of refabrication required.  Getting a Gen2 GTX3071R without the turbine housing would be my first choice in your situation, swap the cores and sell off the GT3076R (or something?).  The Gen2 GTX3071R should improve both response and spool somewhat as well as give you 7-8% more flow than a GT3076R - at least on paper.  
 

You haven't said what you are making with the GT3076R, but hypothetically speaking if you are currently up around the 360wkw area than the GT3076Rs seem to start hitting a wall, you could stand to get closer to 390kw with better spool - and that is starting to get into the area where the GT30 turbine with a .82a/r housing starts crying "enough".

making 310kw 20psi on 98 and 365kw 26psi on e85. It stops making any more power after 26psi. I have replotted everything on the new gtx compressor maps and can see it will be more efficient with the ability to make alot more power

A gtx3076 has popped up at price that i am happy to pay just really wanting to know if i am going to be making current power but 500-600rpm earlier.

No.  If anything, the GTX3076Rs are LAGGIER than the GT3076Rs, the only reason you'd go to a GTX3076R from a GT3076R is if you were after more power.... otherwise it would be a 100% waste of money, IMHO.

The gen2's were released November 2016 so it's only been a couple months on the market. When I was ordering mine, there was a 4month wait time calling around.
