I went to flush the radiator and cooling system today .. and when I took the cap off the radiator and turned the fan on, instead of the water level falling, it rose! I wanted to put the radiator flush through there but there was no room.

I don't really have any overheating problems, I dont think. The needle never goes above half way? But sometimes the engine bay does feel very hot.

What could be causing the water level to rise rather than fall when the heater is turned on?

Cheers
