Tomei 264/264 8,5 poncams

Hi i just bought tomei poncams with 264/264 8,5 lift to My rb25det spec 1 nvcs with lash type/hydraulic lifters. I have installed tomei type a springs too.

But The problem is The car missfire and everything. When i checked comp on cylinders some have VERY Liw like 4-5 bar and some 11 bar.

Then when i installed The oem intake camshaft i had normal comp in all cylinders with 264 exhaust CAM left in engine.

Camwhells are oem.

This CAMs are dropins says tomei.

Anyone that knows or have seen problem like this?

Are there different cams for VCT and non VCT engines (i.e do you have the right ones)?

Adjustable cam pulleys, if yr using STD pulleys then u can't adjust. If yr using eg Romeo's with a live centre then they should be zero.

I dont have adjustable camwheels. Allt stock wheels. Well The vct wheel is adjustable tho. But i tried to back IT and foreard IT with VERY Lottie changes. But not enough

If its fine with the OEM inlet cam and not with the Tomei look very hard at the Tomei for damage - preferably with old and new side by side. Is the CAS drive piece the same on both (and undamaged)? See if uou can find numbers on the cam to confirm that they are a pair. can you install the cam 180 degrees out? If the Tomei Inlet cam is putting your compressions  miles out something is very wrong.

The CAms knocks looks like The same. The cas drive is on The exhaust side. I have tried to fully retard and advance The oem vct cam gear with VERY little changes on compretion. Numbers on CAMs are a2685x on The exhaust and b2685 on The intake side.
