S2 Stolen and now door latch issues?

Hey All,

So car was stolen and recovered with a dead starter and broken ignition barrel. I now have these replaced and have one issue - locking.

I don't know how they got the door open, the barrel hasn't been tampered with, and it didn't look like they shoved anything in the door from above.

My old fob doesn't work anymore and when I hit the internal central lock button everything locks but the driver's door.

So broken latch yeah? and does that mean they might have used some sort of electrical brute force method to get in? because it all looks visually fine and there is a slight electrical burned smell.

Thoughts?

You should be able to take off the doorcard and see the latch mechanism and test it from there. Its all pretty mechanical in my s1 when it comes to the door handle, lock etc
