ZSS Racing

Hey all,

Looking at buying some upper camber arms for my R34 soon and was wondering if anyone's had any experience with ZSS Racing. They seem to be an Australian based company and offer free shipping within Aus, so they work out at around $475 for a set of front uppers (for context the same parts from Cusco are $400 including shipping). I've heard Japan is the way to go for parts, but if anyone can give me some good feedback on these guys I'd be inclined to consider them (they offer some pretty solid package deals). If not I'll either go Cusco or Sun Line.

Looks identical to Hardrace except colour and logo. Website doesn't say whether it comes with rubber bushes.

The ZSS brand is sold through Just Jap in Kirrawee they are the Australian distribute for this brand . I have personally had this brand of arms in my car and never had any issues. I also know of plenty of other guys running these arms in not only street cars but full built race cars and have had no issues .

I have a friend who works at JustJap. They are selling all their hardrace to make way for ZSS and he said they are made in the same factory. I bought some adjustable caster arms and some rear camber arms (all hardened rubber) through him/JJR and haven't had any issues. The arms are solid bits of kit and my aligner had no issues getting them dialed in.

Rather than start a new thread... 

I have both ZSS rear traction rods and camber arms (hardened rubber) on the 34. Anyone got their own stories/feedback on them? I've only had them on for a month or so now.

As mentioned above, same stuff as hardrace. Have had those same 2 types of arms on the car for years now, no issues.

It's impossible to find the bushings on their own, at least rubber ones. Where can I find these? I've scoured the entire internet and only option seems to be to buy the entire arm, which I'd rather not. But I can find every other bushing for my car which makes no sense lol. I'm ideally trying to replace the bushings on my stock upper control arm / camber arm.

Why? They're not going to wear out before the rest of the car does. And if they do manage to do so, just....buy something with sphericals.

sphierical are off road use only in Australia

Not for upper inner control arm bushings, not listed anywhere except for superpro polyurthene but that's pretty much the only listing I found and some website I think in Siberia. Nismo doesn't have them either. I checked, I don't think there is even a nissan part number for it because the diagram only shows the control arm, the bolts but not the bushings.

Waste of money, I don't want to spend $500 if all I need to do is replace the bushings. It's unnecessary. In my case if they are worn, they have worn out before the rest of the car?

I just had a look at the Nismo one, is that actually for inner upper bushings? For the "- Nissan R34 Skyline Hicas 4WS
(Rear Upper Hubs x 4, Camber Arms x 2 & Traction Arms x 2 = 8pce)" it says camber arms x2, but my car is a 2ws, I assume the 4ws is gtr?

Are the bushings you're asking about here stock elastomeric-squishy-juice ones?  Why would you want them?

Don't be dense. I'm talking about a car that is at least 25 years old now and will not be around in another 25 years. And if the arms/bushes that you put in now last only 10 years (instead of the likely 20+), it is so far into the dim and distant future that it is not a problem that you need to concern yourself with right now, no matter how poor that you feel. It is a problem for future silviaz.

You say that as if it really matters. I have made the decision to use them in strategic places in my car because R32 FUCAs are a shit design and really need the added flexibility made possible by spherical bearings, and because they are simply excellent in front caster arms, and neither are easily seen on a roadside inspection.

Besides which, you can get them engineered, which I will do if I am ever pushed into a corner.

Yeah looking for stock rubber type ones because from my understanding the polyurethane are more prone to breaking and will make my ride stiffer. Not trying to be dense, seems you're looking into it quite long term, I'm not looking that far out.

Oh wow, you're a absolute legend then, cheers for that! Can't believe it was just there. I literally looked everywhere even called Justjap and said they didn't have it lol, but guess it makes sense as it's a bit hidden on the website.
