Well, had fun yesterday and trying to work out what caused it. Going round the rounadabout near adfa onto Monaro H'Way in the wet, doing about 20 or 30kph, accelerated out like a granny and the rearend just stepped out and kept me spinning to the right. Managed to catch it in time, corrected and came to a stop facing back to the left and the right way for heading up the h'way before getting into the way of oncoming traffic but got me wondering what I did wrong.

Since I haven't driven a rwd or an lsd car for about 15 year I think it might just be needing to readjust to the handling, and checking if the tyres are running low on tread, but thought I'd see if this might be a common issue in the wet that just needs awareness of or if it might be a handling issue.....or if I just screwed up :D

yeah what nick said, im the same, my fronts are low on tread and i have to be very carefull cornering in the wet, except it always trys to understeer not oversteer. but as long as im carefull and slow it holds fine, not exactly a smart idea on my part driving on low fronts though.

you'll get used to it though, and you'll know its limits in the wet.

I had some slips in the rain when I first got my car, came from a FWD. Also if it hasn't rained for a while the roads are very greasy but this washes away once it's been raining for a bit, like all day kind of thing.

You do get used to it though, I always turn Traction Control off an dhave no problems.

r33's have crap diffs, they open wheel offen then go to and fro into 2 wheel slip which can be hard to cantrol and very unpredictable and quick to step out... if you find this is the case i recommend a mechanical 1.5 locked lsd she'll do exactly the same thing everytime!!!!

yea happened to me only last weekend but not on a around about this was just coming out of a sharpish corner scared the bagesus out of me and i wasnt being a tool either. the learning process for me is pretty high but i think i have a pretty good idea now of its basic limitations. plus i intend on going to a skidpan to find out what its really like.
