Help with changing to braided lines for coolant

Hey Guys,

I attached a photo below. I am in the process of changing over the lines to braided. I tried removing this line but I'm not having much luck. There is an adapter for sale that changes hardlines to braided lines I'm aware off. 

I wanted to see if it I can just cut the hard line, insert an automotive hose with a clamp and push in the braided hose adapter with a clamp. Does anyone know how much pressure is going through the hose? Is this an alternative method? From what I read the fitting for hard line to an adapter is -6 AN. Is that correct?

There is a kit available that converts both coolant lines & the oil feed line to braided - I installed one a few months ago with no issues. For the hard line in your photo, the line in the kit has a barbed fitting at the other end, which pushes into the stock rubber elbow behind the head (on the intake side). This is where the stock hard line connects to now. It then has a clamp over it. The kit wasn't overly expensive, and it included all the fittings & copper washers along with the 3 braided lines. The kit was an Earl's brand, and was called an "RB25 Turbo Line Kit".

I found that water line impossible to remove. I had to cut the hardline and push on a coolant hose with braided line. I pushed the hose far down the hardline and ziptied the crap out of it. It's a dodgy way but it's been like that for around 6 months with no leaks.

I found it easy, but the engine was out of the car at the time... The big advantage of braided lines is how easy it becomes to re-install a turbo - those hard lines are a pain in the arse.

 I attempted to remove it and it didn't seem ideal. I was very close in removing the intake manifold just for that but I'm going to consider your method. Thanks
