New Turbo installation queries

i have an r33 gtst currently unning sstock boost on a hdi electronic boost controller. i am looking at installing a new turbo but continuing to run the stock boost will i need to get the car tuned considering there will be no boost changes and out of curiosity what can the stock ecu manage as far as upping the boost is concerned before the car will start to run lean. thanks in advance

If the new turbo is relatively stock-sized, should be fine if not upping boost level.

was getting a turbo off a mate but after a few discussions with a few people ill be skipping on the turbo upgrade for now anyway cheers guys
