Some people run N1 pumps with no problems. There were a dodgy batch of knockoffs around for a while. Maybe as above get some billet gears and make sure you loctite the screws when you put it together.

Tomei would be great but they are $$$

Bigger hi-volume pump should be matched with a larger capacity sump if budget allows, a tomei/nitto pump will be capable of higher rpm and thus will be able to move a higher volume of oil.  Larger returns and crankcase venting also good 'while you're here' mods.
