Hi guys.

So, never made a build thread for my first get, and have had some people say they wish I had.

The one decent mod I done, I placed in the appropriate thread.

Now I have a 2nd gtr, I'm wondering if there is any interest in a build thread for it?

If so, I will continue this thread.

If not, I'll leave this thread and just do what I do.

Hit like or comment.

If there's a few interested, it shall be done.

Thanks, and have a great day :)

Glad to see you are saving this thing Luke. Was sad to see...

Can i have the skirts? lol

They're not genuine.
They're 1 piece reps.

The ones on my gold one are genuine 3 piece and rear pods :)

Ok, so here's a list of what it needed(that I can remember):
Front bar and lip
Head lights
Corner indicators(and wiring)
Front and rear struts
Front brakes(calipers, pads, rotors)
Intercooler
Boost Pipe work
Heater hoses
Wheels
Passenger seat
Clutch
Ecu
Radio
Engine(incl injectors, etc, etc)
Exhaust

And love.

A list of some of the goodies I found on the car already:
Whiteline away bars, front and rear with adjustable links
Adjustable upper control arms front and rear
Very decent fuel system(twin 044s to my knowledgeb with full Teflon lines and surge tank)
Recaro drivers seat
Haltech ethanol sensor
Led tail lights
Short shifter
Eboost(2 maybe)
Momo steering wheel
Zeitronix ethanol display
Alloy radiator

And is pretty freaking neat underneath with exhaust heat shields still in place.

Thought the front bar and lip would be the hardest thing to find(due to having a budget in mind).
But, found one not to far from where I collected the car.....
So picked it up at the same time.

    • Excuse me for butting in....but which part of ADHD can be considered a superpower? I would have though it far more likely that some ASD comorbidity is more likely to be contributing to an ability to hyperfocus on something. ADHD being aimed somewhat in the other direction. My shed looks like your shed. My whiteboard list of unfinished projects has entries going back 15 years. I know what you're talking about - I just struggle to connect ADHD to the results being discussed.
    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
