Battery light/ engine light after battery disconnected

Hi

Just disconnected my battery as i needed to pull my steering wheel off. Its all back together now and my battery light stays on and my engine light comes on when i rev it any ideas whats causing that? 

Its a 1996 s2 r33 gts

There are multiple wires to the battery including 2 from the alternator, are they both connected to bat + properly? If you put a multimeter across the battery terminals when the car is running you can confirm, but it sounds like the alternator is not charging.  Not charging will give 11-12v (probably) and charging will give 14+ volts while running

its strange cos you disconnected the battery from the boot i assume so it doesnt have alternator wires going to it either, make sure your terminals are tight and make sure to check the earth from both ends, then i would try run a self diagnostics from the consult port by bridging the pins and see if any error codes flash up, only do that if you know what pins to bridge and how to do it properly, if you dont know just ask
