With all this lock down stuff I have gotten into the sil80 and gone through parts to sell.
Fixed the leaking fuel lines at the fuel tank & drained the stale fuel. Updated firmware on ecu as it was late 2018 firmware.
Removed front & rear lca and knuckles from the car. Pulled out spare frame and degreased & pressure washed away all the muck.

Got the gktech weld in plates for castor brackets & rear subrame to be done before being powder coated.
Debating wether to buy new MCA coilovers for this or put the old ones back in and buy new ones for the race car.

Nice work, on my to-do list as well from 7 years ago - still haven't gotten to it lol

it totally changes how they drive, never know it may make your barge almost handle like a BMW :rofl2:
Last time I did it with an energy suspension urethane kit(still going good in the race car), will get the whiteline rubber stuff this time for street car comfort.

So.............
Got bored of working on the sil80 and had the need to just go drive a car with a few modern features.  Set a budget, made lists of minimum requirements, lots of car review videos and scoured the internets for a deal.
Jumped on a plane and did a road trip

Plan is just to drive it while I tinker with the projects and the warranty runs out.
Remembered I bought a key chain while at the Nismo Factory last year

Got to now get stuck into the sil80 as need to move it out the house garage.
Got a heap of parts sitting here from GKTech & Whiteline so plan this week is to weld in some plates & paint suspension arms and Brembo's. Next week install the bushes and brakes to get back on the ground.

I'v looked at those as a cheap weekender a few times, keen to hear what you think of it.

Man/Auto?

I see around the interwebs people are able to get 230-240rwkw+ out of them, but I have a hard time wrapping my head around 240rwkw from an NA v6 with exhaust/intake and a tune.

with 11:1 CR, Wiki says it's 261kW from factory (i'm guessing at the flywheel) so seems reasonable

Is that a nismo spc or something? I thought a standard 370 was like 245kw at the fly?

245 at the fly plus what, like 30kw for a full exhaust, intake and a tune? I guess that could yield 240rwkw if it's only losing 10-12% through the drivetrain.

I think Rob needs to do all the mods and tell us how it goes ;)

appears to be:

he NISMO version was introduced for the 2009 model year. The engine produces 350 hp (355 PS; 261 kW) at 7,400 rpm and 276 lb⋅ft (374 N⋅m) of torque at 5,200 rpm with revised ECU settings and exhaust setup.

Did I miss that Rob bought the Nismo edition and I've been talking about regular pleb spc this whole time...

You didn't look at the pic he posted? also it says it in his name/title card thing over there <<<<<<<<<

To me it's just a white 370 with some red bits? I don't know enough about 370s to pick it from a side shot.

No,  didn't review his profile card thingo either.

But now I know that Rob is a big time baller spending large on Nismo spec stuff.

I'll just be over here with my cheapo Silvia being a bum ;)

Yeah went full baller and got the nismo as its got a few nicer bits on it and by the time I bought a 2016-2018 sport & added a few bits it was around the same money.  Got the 7 speed auto as over daily driving manual.

Nissan says 245kw but with in my experience headers, exhaust & tune gets around 220-230ish at the wheels. Driven a few 350/370 with stillen superchargers & twin 2860s (350-440kw) and they are amazing, lots of down low torque & still nice for daily driving. For what I am doing with it (Daily/weekend club track day like my old S14), its great the way it is.

Once its out of warranty (2024) may look at more power but I've still got the all the cheap S chassis stuff to work on and do silly things with?
