Good morning,

So I have in my possesion an r32 Im building to go sideways every now and then.

It has an RB20det currently but the head is cracked, my friend is going 25det in his r34 and doesn't need his 25de neo anymore.

My main question is can I throw on the 25det turbo from my 20det on to the 25de neo plumb it all in and wire it all up but still retain the factory 25de ecu?
If I was to +t it I would only run wastegate pressure of 7psi

If not was is my best cheapest option for ecu?

Thanks

25DET ECU
25DET injectors
Appropriate AFM

Make the wiring changes neccissary and away you go.

BUT, you would be much better off putting a NIStune in your current RB20DET ECU and getting it tuned.

If you're not planning on swapping the transmission and bolting the Neo motor to the 20 trans, you'll make it work.

Wiring for that is fairly straight forward, I believe injector 4 + 6 wires on the ECU need to be swapped and there's some other misc. wiring involved. For Nistune option you can (and should) get the 20 ECU chipped with a Type 2 board and tuned. It's the least expensive option and is very user friendly. Buddy of mine had done the swap and said it's pretty straight forward.

Funny you mention this @wicked_two because I'm in the process of doing a NEO swap, though I'm bringing over the R34 trans as well. The idea is to get the engine and tranny in with some modification but the challenge is going to be wiring since I've got an R32 so that means 20DET chassis harness.
So far I haven't found anyone across multiple forums who have completed the full motor and A/T swap successfully into an R32 so I'm left scratching my head.

The automatic may make it more of a project but for what its worth, theres a company here in the states that make wiring harnesses for various engine swaps into all sorts of Nissans including the R32 Skyline.

@Hcr32typem Thanks I reached out to them and conveniently the guy on the other end said "well we don't really do anything with automatics because they're not reliable. I didn't get his name but it frustrated the hell out of me since I'm in New York and there's no one who wants to touch this car.
