Little Coloured Squares

Just wondering about purpose/control of the little coloured squares appearing under people's avatars.

They are green, black, red or in my case not coloured at all. I also noticed that some people have have a couple of red ones.

Whats the G-O with these?

Its reputation, you can leave reputation for peeps by clicking the tick/cross square under their coloured square. Its part of VBulletin, I am just seeing what its like.

Thats what I thought, I figure it tells you how many pts you got, in my case 0 but im off the scale, Prank who actually rates you (Not you personally but who rates who and how)???
