Steering wheel for track car

Hi guys,

 

What do you use for a track steering wheel and boss kit?

 

My aim is to get the wheel 2 inches closer to me.

 

Also, If i remove the standard wheel with air bag how do you disable the air bag light?

For me HKB boss kit, D1 spec quick release (ball bearing, no slop) and I have a slightly dished wheel as well.

Air bag light I think my 34 has some tape over it, but remove the bulb is a good option.

I have a very similar setup.  Boss kit with the airbag removal wires, D1 QR kit, and a momo steering wheel.

Btw, don't buy fake steering wheels.  Google and you'll know why!

Here's what I use. Just Jap boss kit and a alcantara wheel. The problem with a deep dish wheel and a coupling is the column stalks are way far away

Thanks guys, just bought me self the works bell boss kit and quick release from just jap. 

Just need to sort out a steering wheel. Not too fussed about the stalk columns though. Who needs to indicate anyways

With a steering wheel attached to the hub as usual, where does the quick release kit go? Between the wheel and hub?

Yeah. Bonus/downside is it brings the steering wheel closer to you

You can get a shorter boss kit to overcome that extra length the quick release adds

I run a Nardi deep corn wheel and love it to bits.

Ok so got the steering wheel and quick release put in. Got a deep dish wheel as i wanted the wheel closer to me. Very happy with it. Perfect length for me.
