hey guys. compression test was carried out on my rb25det. 110 allround besides cylinder 3 which read 65.

the car has the standard bolt ons ( full exhaust, fmic) and has a garrett t04. standard ecu.

now the question is, will it be ok if i run the same turbo on a second hand rb25det. will be kept on 7psi.

will be planning on gettinn it tuned sometime next year.

basically wana know if its safe to run a bigger turbo on a standard motor with standard ecu on lowboost till i can get it tuned?

I think I understand better now. You had a t04e on a motor with a standard ECU, then the compression test showed it was broken, and now you are trying to work out if you should put that turbo back on the new motor with the standard ECU?

The simple answer is anything change to a turbo will need a tunable computer. Hell, just changing the boost on a standard turbo will need something. You need to address the ECU if you are determined to keep that turbo.
