Thanks for the replies guys... I'll check it out...

First thing's first, I want to check whether it's priming or not. I honestly can't hear it, and I've had noisy fuel pumps before, so I know the ruckus they make :)

Tony, are you sure about this "NEW Bosch 044 pumps are quiet." claim? I bought mine about 3 months ago. Does that fall into the new release category?

Old ones were very very noisy - you could hear them over the exhaust.

New ones have been quietened down a lot.

They changed manufacture a while back.

meshmesh, did you run a constant 12V straight from the battery to the pump, or did you use the original wiring which has a voltage stepper? I've got mine wired in with the standard wiring, as I was told that unless there's a problem with the standard wiring, it's best to use it as the voltage stepper helps prolong the life of the pump and adds reliability

Im sure we are still using the factory wiring. But what Sydneykid said is what I was told to do if we continued to have problems.

As far as the pump being noisy??? Mine isn't at all noisy, sometimes you can "just" hear it prime but definately not noisy.
