Does a Cefiro ECU work in R32??

I just read that the Cefiro RB20 has a different CAS and ECU to the R32. Not sure though. I will compare with my mates 32 when my car arrives.

from memory theyre different but are tunable like the 32ss

they'd have different fuel maps due to the differing compression ratios in the respective engines etc. But I reckon if you took a dump of the R32 ecu and then uploaded it to the ceffy one, then it'd be sweet. But yes, as narkeh said both are flash programmable.

so is the compression more or less in a ceffy motor? that might explain why mine was detonating with exact the same microtech tune as a skyline???

Cefiro scored all teh hr31 rb20 hand me down senders water and ecu temps cas coils afm etc

so can it be used with r32 if it is flashed with r32 software? who can do this in QLD? how much?

quite easily... not sure about QLD... id say any decent tuner should be able to so if u know of a tuner in qld that works on skylines just take it there

I had my ECU chipped by Dr. Drift to fix some A/F ratio problems I was having. He wapped an R32 one modded and chipped for my ECU.

I did find though that the mounting points for the ECU in my car were different to that of the R32 mounting points.

A swap of the front and back plates though fixes this easily enough. Just something to watch if you doing a swap over ECU type mod.

I have just swapped to an r32 ecu in my cefiro and had toshi remap the chip for my car. so yes it will run but the A/f ratios will be wrong at stock
