Hi all,

So i was 'exploring' my R33 the other day inve stigating  the previous owners handiwork.  And i came across  this. ( see pics) are these both fuel pressure regulators?  If so why are they both on the same line into the fuel rail.

Any information would be awesome thanks

Your second picture is a Fuel Dampener, it's there to restrict "pulsing" and irregularities in fuel flow. It would be on the return, likely after your FPR.

If nothing is leaking and your pressure is good, you have no problems.

The dampener has to be in the pressure side  of the fuel supply otherwise it is pointless , it is either before or after the rail, definitely before the regulator.

Its actually on the return side after the rail and fpr on an r33. I removed mine to fit a flex sensor in its spot. It probably was pointless of Nissan putting it there as i didn't notice any adverse effects after binning it.

Well that’s mental.  Hp academy did a video recently of fuel dampers.

On the return makes no sense

Fire off an email to Mr Nissan and let him know of your disgust at this rookie mistake.

Luckily he sorted it out in another amateur move and put 2 on neo engines, one before and after the reg.

I really am cloning your build aren't I man... This is exactly what I wanted to do, but was scared of any adverse reaction to the car by binning! Now my sensor sits at the top of the strut just hanging out LOL.

Going to remove my dampener and place here, wish me luck :P

Theres even a bolt hole there half way up the strut tower you can use to mount the sensor. Win win.
