Often a whislting type noise that's not the pod noise is the turbo wheels hitting the housing. Take off the intake hose to the turbo and check for free play and look for metal ground away on the housing or blades. If so get it rebuilt or replaced.

I Have Had The Same Problem, Turbo Always Made A Whistle Noise Under Boost But It Got Louder, After Inspection Found That 1 Of The Blades On The Exhaust Wheel Was Missing!!!! The Noise Is The Turbo Blades Touching The Housing, I Would Replace The Turbo Before It Self Destucts

checked my turbo and the wheels are still there and all in perfect condition, no bolts where missing or anything either, sound seems to be getting louder :) definately coming from the turbo area as i can hear it through my pod. maybe its a gasket although i am not sure how to check the gaskets or even what they look like. i can hear the sound off boost, like at 2000rpm when i put a slight pressure on the accelerator. could it have anything to do with needing a oil change? sorry for my noobness :)

you can hear it thru the pod? if its closer to the pod than the turbo, then maybe its not the turbo itself.

have u checked the intercooler piping/clamps? a small air leak (as said earlier) could make a whistling sound
