While installing the exhaust one i didnt notice that the lobes where in the wrong position so the last one was under pressure and it snapped.... f**k me

Now im trying to see how to replace it. i cant seem the find the exhaust only poncam.

RB25 Neo, 260 dur poncam type B 9.15 mm lift.

All the ones im finding as a single cam are the procams, can i actually replace my broken poncam with a procam with the same duration and lift without issues? or is there something different? i keep reading the poncam is adjusted to stock timing etc but i dont see that on the procam so its kind of confusing.

Have bought JUN individually through RHD, was made to order so was like 1+ months till posted.

Also, I think generally procam have stronger ramp rates and tomei recommend retainers and upgraded springs. Poncam is supposedly drop in stock upgrades.

Poncams seems to be a set everywhere i look, procams tho are sold individually, but now that u mention the ramp rates etc... i dont know much about cams.

If i get a procam 260, 9.15mm lift, what makes it different from say a poncam? ramp rate, i thought cams only had 2 variables, duration and lift.

Kelfords are out of my budget for now.

Seems my option would be to get an exhaust procam or just go with the intake camshaft only. Dont know what that would mean.

Designing cams is a world of its own, and the information on paper and specs you buy tell half the story.

One option I forgot is it's possible to get your cams doctored... Clive cams or crow cams might be able to make copies of your cam. I went to Clive cams for mine when the lobes were damaged but their machines couldn't do over 10mm lift

    • hows it fellas, my first post here which seems crazy cos half the forums i read are like the same age as me haha. to make a long story short ive got an r34 sedan (rb25de neo auto) which im swapping to a s0/s1? rb25det, r33 big box and nismo gt pro lsd. i have the motor and gearbox all bolted up outside the car, old motor and trans out. i bought the motor with stock ecu and loom, do i switch over to that? or will it be easier to get a r34 manual ecu and keep the loom if thats even possible.  also engine mounts look different, anything else thats different or incompatible? cheers, hope this all makes sense Paddy

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!
