So I have recently bought a 1990 r32 skyline gts-4. Unfortunately, the person I bought the car from must have never put any diff oil in it, and i drove it for 3 hours home and the diff blew up. Im trying to find a diff to replace it with, but due to the rarity of the gts-4, im struggling to find one.
I was wondering if any one could tell me what cars have the 4.3:1 ratio that i need and would also bolt straight on to the 6x1 bolt pattern since the other varients of the r32 would not work. Thanks

GTS4 does not have 6x1 diff flanges.  That's the GTR diff.  GTS4 has the same 5 bolt flanges as the GTSt.  And the ratio is not 4.3.  It is 4.375.  This is important, because the normal GTSt diff is 4.3 and they are not the same ratio.

Most of these diffs have been gobbled up by GTR owners wanting shorter gears for their cars.

What died on your diff?  You can (and should) get aftermarket centres that are 5000000000000 times better than the shitty viscous centre in there.  And you can buy CW&pinion sets.  And you can buy bearings.  So unless the housing it rooted, you can rebuild it.

The R32 GTS-4 is a 6x1 diff flange. The complete rear subframe in the R32 GTS-4 is the same as a R32 GTR including the alloy hubs, the only difference is the VSD diff centre instead of LSD diff centre. The price they ask for the GTS-4 gears it would be cheaper to change to GTR 4.11 front and rear diffs.

    • Awesome mate, sounds like an awesome car! My 33 has the 400R/Nismo front and rear bumpers and side skirts. They're in terrible condition though so I either need to fix them up or toss them and get new, standard bumpers and skirts. I wish the Nismo stuff was FRP not fibreglass as they're always one nudge away from complete destruction!
    • Thanks mate 👍 The car was brought into the UK by a USAF mechanic until he was stationed back to the US, one owner later I bought her back in 2009. Luckily the only corrosion was on the sill seams, so once taken back to metal and treated and sealed all ok, I then undersealed the car myself and check yearly and treat any corrosion which to be honest is zero. She's garaged most of the time and hardly ever driven in the rain, but as you say most are rotten unfortunately, I was lucky in finding her as she was and still is in excellent condition.
    • Stunning car.  Looks amazing!  You're in the UK?  How the hell do you stop your car rotting away beneath you?  British cars are the WORST I've ever seen in regards to rust.  Some of the cars SR Autobody have done are borderbeyond saving.
    • not a date code? or a foundry code?
    • I have up to date pics of the engine build and turbo conversion over on my instagram @skpro_jects if you want to take a deeper look.   Basically the exhaust manifold is straight bolt on and the ports match (they arent any smaller than a 25 or 26 head).    the intake ports are different shape so the 20/25det manifold will bolt up but wont match properly or seal. You will need to port match using the 25det gasket as a stencil. Personally i ran the entire stock 20neo intake setup and have configured the swirl valves and torque valve to work based on my custom parameters to help with off boost response and spool. But this is using a standalone aem v2 ecu. The stock 20det ecu wont be able to control them.
