Hi there!

I have GTX35 + CP Pistons + Bridgeway H-Beam rods + Nitto oil pump + HKS 264 8.7mm + Cometic 1.3mm head gasket + ARP head + rods stud + Harmonic balancer Ross Tuffbond. Head is stock just that cams.

What is the highest safe revlimit on that setup for street car?

Really it's going to come down to whether your setup is still making power up that high. If boost is falling off and the turbo is nosing over then there is no point revving it out.

Being a gtx35 I doubt there will be much of a reason to go too far past 8.

High revs, aftermarket cams and decent amount of boost with stock valve springs won't be revving very high.

You'll most likely end up with valve float and a load of misfires instead.

Not saying they are gospel by any means, but the motiveDVD GT-R just went through this exact query.  They decided to keep to the stock rev limit to preserve of the stock head, stock girdle plate and stock crank.

Pt.2 of 2

I was going to say more than 9000, but that's awfully specific.  Do you have data to back this up?

Yeah, IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAANNDDD!!!11!!!!ONE!

One day I'll have enough money to build an RB26 to spin past 9,000 rpm, just so I can ask a passenger "what does the tachometer say about the engine speed?"
