Trip To Auckland

Just recently got back from a weekend up in Auckland for my daughters wedding.

The car performed very well, traveling around 1336km over the five days (only drove four days of it, gave it a rest 3^rd day). Averaged about 11.4k/l. That includes city, Auckland motorway & open road driving.

Took the Desert Road in its stride (fun,fun,fun), purred like a pussy cat, even got it up to 140kph in a couple of the long straights!

 

It's just so easy to drive!

So if you were in Auckland how much of that was spent going nowhere in traffic?

Wasn't to bad if you knew where you were going. Used to live up there a wee while ago.

A good couple of hours to get from Drury to the end of the north-western motorway on the way up.

Was trying to get at least on the north-western before 3.30pm but  we arrived at the start of the southern motorway at that time.

We stayed at Kumeu for the 1st 2 days.
