@steve85 - out of interest, which shop is on the compliance plate? Mine was complied in Feb 2000, was interested to know.
This was brought in with quite a few others (assuming my paperwork is correct). There should be around 5 or 6 clean R33s that were complied in short period around late 99 or early 2000.20180927_Steve%20Wood%201997%20Nissan%20Skyline%20GTR%20R33%2001.jpg
OK, mine was brought in Feb/2000 by AVO Turbo
No paperwork exists from this timeframe (I asked them) - and its too early for the JOC records.
When I say paper work i mean the notes that came with the car. The buyer took notes on the dealers inventory before he decided which car to buy.

Another christmas holiday down. Another poor effort getting the cars out for a run. Neither myself, nor my wife managed to have enough time to take either car out.

The new GPS/Tracking system is draining the battery and i only have a single charger between three cars.

Killed the battery in the Silver GTR good. In my defense, it looks to be old and is a small capacity battery.

I'm keeping an eye on the internet for decent priced chargers.20181223_144024.jpg20181223_144013.jpg20181223_143902.jpg

Hah, that old chestnut.

I picked up a Ctek MX5.0 cheap at Repco of all places, good unit and came with 2 sets of comfort leads for quick changing between cars.

You could also look at the cheap solar cigarette lighter trickle chargers.

After killing (well, that's what I thought) two batteries in my now-sold R34 due to underuse I bit the bullet and bought a Projecta Intelli-Charge IC1000 (10 Amp, 7-Stage) charger.

The second battery, which failed to crank after 48h+ on a Supercheapie charger, was promptly revived by the Projecta and ran beautifully since.

The Projecta is not cheap at around $200 but I can recommend it. It's also smaller than what appears in the online photos so easy to pack away when not in use.

To save this one, i shoved 100+ Watts into it from a power supply i have lying around. I seem to have saved it, but after being so horribly drained, I can't imagine it will be all that wonderful from now on.

I also add, i know this isn't what you are supposed to do with batteries, but, I was desperate.

I have this, except that the cars are jerks and I think the Silver GTRs battery is a little less capable than that in the LM or my wagon.

I'm looking for a second CTEK... so much effort for cars that don't move. (rolls eyes).

Mid spec ctek and up will have a rejuvenate setting that seems to work well when I was killing batteries in the Silvia.

100%. After I had jammed as many amps as I could to bring the voltage up, I popped it onto the CTEK and let it run the conditioning cycle a couple of times.
Worked ok from what i can tell. ?

Get an optima yellow top once this one dies. they can handle many more deep discharges than any normal lead acid battery. Mine gave up only recently after 9 years of service and going flat 20+ times

Thanks for the tip. Saves me doing the research myself. :)

For those of you who mentioned the lack of cleanliness (hehe) in the video that I created for this car, here are some pictures post wash;

Also as is pretty evident, the car hasn't gone anywhere yet. Still haven't even put the plates on it. All that's happened is it's killed a battery, so I have taken apart the boot and have put a charger in. You've probably all seen these images already. But i know you're all suckers for images, and who am I to deny you! :)

Just get a small solar panel to keep the battery charged and a regulator if you are paranoid.  Assuming you get some actual sun every now and then it works a treat.  For all of $50.

Solid advice and a cheap solution to my problem. Unfortunatly I did not do this though. [emoji848] Found a reasonbly priced ctek charger. Purchased that and put it onto the battery.
Gotta love plug in cars! [emoji16]

Update on the KR4 R33. We took the car out to the 50th Anniversary Cruise arranged through GT Car Club and V-Spec Performance. My wife drove it down to V-Spec in Blackburn, where the car received considerable attention (a lot more than my car). It ran beautifully and had no problems.
The best part was there was also another completely stock R33 GTR there in Silver. I spoke to the owner briefly, then missed him at the other end. The other stock R33 had about 55k kms on it (IIRC). I was so disappointed to have not met up with him again.

The KR4 GTR (which it is called in our house) added an additional 250kms to the odometer. It's now 100kms under 10000kms in total (where it will lose all value I assume -jk).

Here are some images of the event:
