Wheels r34 gtt, 17 inch front, 18 inch rear

Just wondering how a 17 inch front and 18 inch rear wheel setup would look like on a r34, send over some picture and any other details

Well, everybody knows you put the bigger brakes on the front, so you have to have the bigger wheels there.  Old Porsche 911s are the only ones allowed to break that rule.

Tbh wouldn't this increase grip, stability and somewhat reduce oversteer?

 

Its quite the usual on MR2s, especially the later ones and mines like this also. I've had two MR2s and my current one has this setup and is way more stable and less snappy than the first.

Would it? if the width of the tyres is the same I don't think going from say a 265/35/17 to a 265/35/18 will affect much other than looking "odd"

It was a thing japanese drift cars were doing 10 years ago.

Dunno the reason for it, Assuming it was purely aesthetic. I don't think it looked too bad but I am sure it in one way or another ain't going to be good for handling.

I think drifting would be "hey these wheels are cheap and have tyres with tread on it" more than anything else.
