help with the correct gearbox position pls

Hi fellas,

I got my engine out with the gearbox in-situ on my R32 GTS25 - I had it sitting on the scissor jack before pulling out bell housing bolts and engine mounts but while messing about to get the input shaft free from the clutch and all, now I don't know where it's supposed to sit any more.

I would really appreciate if anyone can give me a couple of reference dimensions (something like X & Y in the photo) so I can have the gearbox sitting right while the engine is out.

I tied mine to the wiper arm with telstra rope

Just leave it sitting there it's not an issue

A couple of reasons really.

I want to figure out the correct position/orientation as the original RB won't be going back (I don't know which engine swap I'll be doing as yet).

Also, I just don't want the front end to hang too low as the cross member is for the back end only, right? In that regard, I'm a tad paranoid, because I don't know what I'm doing.
