Urgent R34 importing help needed! What's my gas type?

Hi everyone,

Just been told i need a 'degassing certificate' to get my car off the docks, all other paperwork is in-line except for this very last piece. Being a 1998 R34 i thought i didn't have to worry about the new gas laws, but apparenly need something stating what type of air-con gas my R34 has from the people i bought it off in Japan?

Anyone know about any of this? My car is going to have to go into storage at the Brisbane docks and i want it out of there AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. And if anyone knows ppl who work there, i'm willing to "make a payment" to make sure my car is ok, and nothing is stolen.

well... a degassing certificate is obtained before the car left japan. According to the laws, all air- conditioners need to be de-gased before departure and are regased afterwards. They probably want the certifivate to see if it was de-gased

ahhhh crappy mc crap crap. I was never told about this! You sure this applies to newer cars like R34's as well?

What do i do, now the car is in Australia?

Does anyone know whether the type of gas in R34's is R134a??
