Audi A4 Racecar for sale. $7000

Located in Melbourne.

Audi A4 Quattro Turbo racecar for sale.

1.8L 4 Cyl. Turbo, Intercooled.

Full weld in cage.

Cutout switch (internal & external).

Tow points (front and back).

Fix back race seat (standard seat rail)

Fabricated floor (drivers side)

Window net

Weight reduced via seats, caprets, some electronics, some trims.

Car will come with a huge number of spares including;

Radiator

Coil packs

Some sensors

Assorted hoses

Assorted belts

Trims

New brake discs and pads

Fluids to suit car

8 x Audi OEM 17" Wheels old tires (still ok for track days).

5 x Aftermerket 16" wheels and tires

5 x Audi A4 16" wheels and tires

17s are good for tracks, 16s are good for dirt etc.

OEM manual (for what its worth)

Haynes manual (for fixing anything)

Car starts, runs, moves under its own power.

Will probably need new pads and discs before next event.

Car can also come with Floor jack, ramps and jack stands.

What's missing from it you ask? Seat belts. The belts that were in it were sold out of it as they were for a Hans device helmet.

The belts were going to run out of date so I sold them otherwise, this car is a start it, drive it, ready to go racecar.

Car will meet tech checks for all up to the Pro/Am categories of racing. It's been well overdone for entry level motorsport.

Can be flexible on price (especially for SAU members) if some items are removed from the sale, but would much prefer to get the entire lot out of my garage.20190519_155926.jpg20190519_155933.jpg20190519_160116.jpg20190519_160058.jpg20190519_160159.jpg20190519_160228.jpg20190519_160255.jpg20190519_160325.jpg20190519_160415.jpg20190519_161033.jpg

Ok. Ok. I get it. It's not a Skyline.
How about $5000?

You probably can't build a Lemons car for 5k(maybe).

If you are even at all interested let me know. [emoji16]

This car is $5k for the entire lot, it takes a up a lot of space in my driveway/carport. I'd be happy to entertain all interest (interstate etc). I can prove it runs, moves etc. Happy to take more photos (of specific items) or create videos. Happy to assist with transportation depending on the situation (i'm not going to drive it to Broome).

The car is genuine, and is (I feel) quite cheap. The cost of the safety items alone tallys to around $4k, so call it another 1k for the car, the wheels and the spares.

There's a Lemons event coming up at Calder park. They're using the banked turns, surely someone is keen to participate with this car.

Bump. I still have this car. Am still looking to move it on. Let me know if you are interested, it's a good car and a genuine sale.

Price is 5k for the lot. Come and see the car, we're nearly back into good weather for car shenanigans... :)

Bump on the oldest for sale thread going.

I still have this car, i'm done looking at it and want it out of my garage space. It's only advertised here and as such, i'm willing to listen to ANY offer you put up. I may not accept your offer of one cheeseburger and a diet coke, but I sure as heck won't be offended.

There's nothing wrong with the car and would suit someone whose keen to jump into budget motorsport. Comes with more spares than you can poke a stick at.

Put it on my105?

Yep. Just thought i'd throw it up here, there was a couple of people who might have been interested.
I'll start advertising it in a week or two if no SAU people get in touch. :)

I assume the lights/sirens are for those last, desperate passing manoeuvres LOL.

If you don't mind I'll pass this on to others I know that might be interested but don't come here.    If there's any interest I'll let you know with contact numbers.      Suitable trailer is probably going to be the sticking point.

    • Update: Tunehouse looked into the problem and identified a wiring issue between the camera unit and the connector. They managed to get it working , but did warn me at some point it will stop working again. From their perspective it is unserviceable and will need replacement. They did some research and found that the new replacement camera would be Approx $1400 supply only (their fitting cost would be $190) . They did provide the part number (28442-JL05B) and a quick google of the part number shows that these are rather expensive brand new (seemingly no longer in manufacture) for the places that still have them in stock, with the used option potentially presenting  the same issue down the track at some unknown point. They are happy for me to supply the part so that they can fit it. Decisions, decisions... I can definitely recommend Tunehouse (thankyou Vee37!). Cost for the diagnosis was as quoted  ($190) , car was ready on time and communication was top notch. Their workshop is super clean and modern, and there was plenty of car candy parked out the front on the day I went.   Would definitely go back.
    • to fix the voltage drop issue I swapped out the old 150amp alternator which turns out is a brand known for having issues and replaced it with the black 180amp alternator beside it
    • For anyone interested, the Way Back Machine has that Japanese website archived with pictures, etc: https://web.archive.org/web/20051023225805fw_/http://www.a31cefiro.com/air_con.htm "Simply swapping the wiring of the harness will not allow it to function properly. For the outdoor air sensor and sunlight sensor, disconnect the wiring connected to CN1-11 of the air conditioning harness from the harness and connect the sensor side wiring to earth. For the indoor air sensor, disconnect the wiring connected to CN2-3 of the air conditioning harness from the harness and connect the sensor side wiring to earth. The connector PIN numbers listed here are the genuine A31 PIN numbers. To avoid incorrect wiring, check with a tester before wiring. Also, disconnect the wiring in a location close to the sensor. The disconnected harness side wiring will not be used, so be sure to insulate it." Wish someone sold a conversion harness to just plug-and-play a Kouki 180sx digital climate control into C33/A31. I'm decent with wiring but feeling kinda lazy about taking this on. Edit: Did some more digging and found a helpful Minkara blog post about the conversion as well: https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/1831116/car/1360568/2284209/note.aspx "After installation is complete or the battery is replaced, you need to go into self-diagnosis mode and set the internal air recirculation. The way to do it is to "hold OFF with the key on for more than 5 seconds, set the number to 5, then press 卍→C." ↑↑↑It probably won't make sense unless you actually try it (・∀・)." Lol wtf
