small shudder

Hi i have v36 07  low kkks   braking at 30k to 100k   i get a shudder through steering wheel  and im sure theres a noise also  thinking is was unbalanced wheel i rang to get it done but he told me it wont be a wheel balance issue but more likely a warped disc .  any one any thoughts thanx      phil

Rotors don't warp anywhere near as often as people make out they do. It is usually uneven thickness, which can be from odd wear, or more usually, uneven deposition of pad binder compound onto the rotor surface. Get a mobile guy to come and give them a really light skim (on car is fine) and see if it fixes it. He will be able to look at the runout before he starts and tell you if they look like they are actually warped or not.

^^  agree with this, regardless of the solution, ensure the brakes are properly bedded in to prevent the issue re-occurring.

The tyre guy is correct, an unbalanced wheel will cause a vibration all the time, not just when braking.
