What’s the best way to clean rims?

My front wheels are extremely filthy, as you can see in the photo attached. What’s the best way to clean them? Pressure cleaning didn’t make any difference. Is kerosene safe to use? What about autosol?

You can buy special cleaners for wheels but regardless you will need a small brush and a lot of hard work.

Armor all wheel cleaner is quite good for the price.

 

That would be where I would start.

From looking at it, the clear coat is gone and there is pitting.

If they are good rims they might justify the cost, maybe at least a couple of hundred each rim to refurb.

Use a good spray pack wheel cleaner. Non-acid very important.

Will also need to scrub with scourer pads or similar.

Should at least keep them waxed every wash, to keep brake dust etc off. There are other protectant thingos you can buy to put on wheels to keep the environment at bay, although I think the ceramic coat things go on painted surfaces only, not alloy.
