Good day guys,

I have an issue with my Air conditioning, it gets cold when I'm driving, but not when idling it takes a long time for it to get cool.

So for example, in the morning when the car is cool, the AC cools down quick, obviously because it is cool itself, no heat, etc.

But when I get to work, leave the car and then turn it on and blast the air con., it starts cooling a little but not a lot, and as soon as I start driving above 60km/h, it starts cooling down significantly. Do you guys think its a fan problem?

Mine did this, had a dead fan and gas was a bit lower then where it should be.

Also, in the end my compressor died and released black death through the whole ac system. My suspicion is, using the air con without a working fan (over the many years I did this) caused the gas temps to be higher then they should which the compressor didn't like.

In the end I replaced the entire ac system - if you have to do this, swap it all with late model parts which are readily available here. I ended up keeping all my ac S1 r33 which was a nightmare.
