yep, had a 6 car pile up (i was 2nd from front) not my fault...the last 3 people decided not too stop, a V8 patrol thingy went up my ass and that pushed me into a commie with a towbar. then the towing company tried to steal my subwoofer, claimed it was 'unsafe' so they had to remove it, pff!

Wrapped a tree around a VN Commodore, was way ahead of my time and trying to drift around a corner... in the wet and down a hill. Learnt my lesson - I'm not as good a driver as I think I am (and never will be!).

Yeah well i wrote of my old mans immaculate R33 GTSt when i was on my P's.. felt stupid as..... still paying for it..... He wasn't into insurance fraud so i wasn't covered and he wouldn't say he was driving, so i forked out 8500 in repairs.... oops..... that was 2 years ago.. havn't really drivin it since.

Now my beast is on the way, hopefully wont be bendin that in a hurry...!!

funny you should ask this. i was driving my mums civic on saturday in chatswood westfeild and this other p plater in a white lexus reversed RIGHT BACK into me.... i could not believe the sheer stupidity of that kid. the driver was of an asian origin and it was too hard to communicate with him, so his friend was doing all the talking. dodgy. smashed my drivers indicator and put a nice fat dent in the front bumper. oh well sh*t happens. he's paying up. lets move on.

I had a R31 it was raining and going very slow coz I was coming up to trafic lights(for a while coz there were lots of cars) and a P plater decided to stop as soon as the lights went orange and I mean as soon as they changed :P :flamed: :Bang:

There was time for her to go,me and the car after me :Bang:

The only damage was a tow ball up my bumper wich munted it and fractured my radiator, very low speed like just under 20kph

:werd:

I wrote off my first car but had crashed it twice before the big one.

Made it through the second car without any major ones.

Crashed the third, fifth, seventh, hang on? is there a pattern developing here?

Sh!t, I hope the Skyline is an even number!!

Bent an axle & wheel in my old Valiant, a bit too much exuberence mid corner trying to emulate my older brothers friends

so wat u all reckon...will i crash it if i don't drive like to much of a dick
Only if you NEVER give any of your mates a ride. Risk of crashing is multiplied by the number of mates you have in the car. (again based on personal experience)

Please don't think I am picking on you dude. I just don't want to see some one learn a harsh lesson in his pride and joy when it could be avoided.

It hurts a lot less to crash a $2500 car than a $25000 one.

Any car is cool when most of your mates don't have one. Buy something to get your first year of experience learning under your belt. Then get something wicked. you will have a whole year (or whatever) to save more money too.

Even if you dont crash it playing around. Plenty of my friends have damaged expensive cars jut thru inexperience, running up the backs of cars, cutting cars off causing accidents...so the green accident should also be a concern.

might be of interest:

from http://www.tacsafety.com.au/

In 2003, 24% of drivers killed were aged between 18 and 25 years. And yet, this age group only represents 14% of Victorian licence holders.

young-drivers.jpg

Of the 39 young drivers killed in 2003:

95% were males,

44% were killed on country roads,

79% were killed in single vehicle crashes,

69% were involved in crashes that occurred during high alcohol times,

the days when fatal crashes were most frequent were Sunday (26%) and Friday (21%),

56% of crashes occurred between the hours of 8pm and 6am, and

51% of deaths occurred on 100km/h and 110km/h signposted roads.

Note: High alcohol times are those times of the day and week when casualty crashes are ten times more likely to involve alcohol than casualty crashes at other times.

i was looking for statistics on passengers
