i was wondering if any of u would like to go in the taz targa race and whats your thoughts on it and is it a risk we must take as i thinking of going in it

ok first of all steve, you will need a level 3 licence, and a cams approved roll cage.

targa is very hard on cars especially day 4 and 5,

if your car is in good condition i suggest dont ruin your car go and buy something else.

also all cars have to be road regestered.

if you want more details i can ask my dad he ahs done it like 7 times

ok

have a good day mate

skylinesteve - what other forms of racing have you done to want to go jump straight into something like Targa Tas?

If nothing then consider doing what I am before tackling Targa. There are heaps of beguiner entry events like the Dutton Rally this weekend (see my other thread). There are also events like the GP Rally which are similar. All these events you can enter with a simple L2S license and your normal street car. Still lots of fun but not the huge costs involved with Targa (Nick Eliss who won this years Targa Tas classic in an Escort said the cost to enter Targa is about $50K above the cost of your car)

    • Getting the remote start is a pain. My local Nissan can do it but it's not allowed to do it. Something about remote start rules regulations in Aus. The Nissan one doesn't tick all the boxes. I think the only way is having a friend that works at a Nissan service centre to do it for on the sly. But that's impossible because people who work at our local Nissan service don't make friends because they are always screwing everyone over
