RB25DET Neo Question

When checking the RB25DET Neo of my R34 GTT I noticed that there are two empty holes for bolts and I have no idea if that‘s normal (see image). Is something missing there?

I do have some issues, probably a boost leak or something. But I don‘t know if it‘s linked to this.

The holes are located above the heat shield of the turbo.

If you need to pull the motor, you can attach the chain to that point and the similar point on the opposite side of the block. Then yoink out the motor with the crane. 

Hopefully you never need to do this. 

Also not sure if this is their official use but it works well.

Good for mounting hard water lines too ?

Used a p clamp to hold the hardline in place.

Yep, that's official. nissan even have a part# for the bracket you can bolt there if for some reason a simple bolt in one of the holes isn't suffciient
