Hey everyone I’m new to this forum.

Ive just bought a 2008 skyline 350gt SP, the car has a pair of HKS coil overs, they’re in okay condition although I’m having trouble adjusting the rears. The front are full threaded and I have no trouble adjusting.. but the rears are partially threaded and for some reason won’t budge when trying to loosen. I just wanted to make sure I’m doing it correctly and if not maybe someone could point me in the right direction?

ill attach a photo but as far as I was aware to lower the vehicle I should be turning the bottom ring clockwise and once loose adjust the top ring clockwise too?

Im thinking that because it’s so hard to undo it could be seized? I’ve applied some penetration oils to them to see if that will help loosen. Will try in an hour or so and see what happens.

They look like they've been treated pretty badly. A 200lb gorilla could have leaned on the wrenches to tighten that bottom ring. The threads could be compressed underneath, etc etc.

You should probably take them off the car so you can work out them without the knuckle damaging confinement. A vice &/or two other people to anchor them might make it 10x easier to work out.

@GTSBoy thanks for the advice man.. I’ll take them off tomorrow and try undoing them in a vice grip. Seems like the previous owner has neglected them and hasn’t adjusted them in a year or two so they’re definitely seized on there pretty tight.

@djr81 sorry yeah I was referring to unlocking it from a top perspective, as if you you were standing above it looking down. That would be clockwise to undo?

See below for the worlds shittest explanation via Microsoft Paint.
