RB25DE speed sensor

Hey guys

Is there a difference between the r33 det and de speed sensor as I can't find anything anywhere for the de version. Please post a link to a site or just any help would be awesome as I need the part to get my car on the road

I could be wrong but I think there different we done an auto to manual swap on my son's 33 series 2 and the gear box was was from a rb20 and we needed a RB20 speed sensor and cut the plug and used the auto plug, and good luck finding one it took us a few months to get one, ended up finding one on scumtree for 80. I found this link about the boxes

One would expect the sensors to be different as the diff ratios are likely to be different. But your car will still run with the wrong speed sensor.

The det unit has 20 teeth and the de unit has 21 teeth but the sensor assemblies are different part numbers also.

the part number you need is 2501071T00  USD 80 plus freight from amayama.

I think the de-t sensor is longer than the de, and doesn't fit, might pay to ring a wrecker and find out for sure, but when I was looking for one I had to specify that it was for a de, that's what niswreck told me anyway

Ok cool, once again I'm not sure but the part number doesn't include the gear cog that they no longer stock it was awhile ago when we done this so I can't really remember

Yes that's it. Amayama have the speed sensor but not the drive cog, now just google the part number and you will find other suppliers who do have stock, (Concord parts USA have stock)the 21 tooth drive cog was used on many different Nissans

No-one ever said finding parts for 23 year old JDM vehicles would be easy.

Thank you everyone for your help. I now have a sensor ordered in and can finally get my girl on the road ?
