Hey guys I'm from Brandon MB, I recently bought a 1993 GTR with my wife. originally imported from b-pro yadda yadda yadda. Its our third gtr but this is the first one that we need a tune on. We have replaced everything on the car from -7's, splitfires with new iridiums, complete wiring harness, water pump, rad, thermosostat, all the sensors, mafs, 02's.  Runs like a dream no issues. although I want it tuned for safety either with or without the mafs ( go haltec).  If anyone has some legit good info on good guy tuners in Calgary please send me there number! I Wanted to take it to vex but didn't get along well with the guys as they told me to put my stock turbos back on because they can make 400 horepower and my -7s were a waste of money. Obviously still a great shop not bashing them just not going that route.  thanks boys happy new year. ill get some pics up of her very clean black 1993 gtr. feel blessed.

Thanks we have worked hard to finally be able to get into another gtr. I’ve blown the ceramics before at 1 bar. -7s spool awesome And sound great. just need someone to tune it now for safety and a better power curve, any tuners in Calgary or Medicine Hat that know these cars help a bro out? I don’t care about power just want a safe tune and want to use haltec and delete my MAFs.

I was quite surprised when I called vex and they told me my -7s were a waste, probably because I never bought the turbos from them but oh well. They didn’t wanna take my money so looking for someone else now.

ya I've finally narrowed it down to a haltec ecu. my buddy owns the Toyota dealership here and just bought his own dyno for his big power supras. The boys are handy  using the haltec programming.problem solved gunna tune it ourselves as the haltec comes with a great base map. thanks for the help tho. cars ready to rock excited to see how far we can push it

also im willing to go to Edmonton for the tune but really don't have any connections in the area. car is completely setup ready for e85 just need the tuner now.

    • I have to put something here in order to post the photos. From what I could gather there's more enthusiasm for modified cars now than there has been for years. There were probably more younger people there than older (me included lol) which was a good sign.  It did seem like the record least amount of representation of the 90's era hero cars on display though. Like maybe one or two examples of S-chassis Nissans, and maybe 3 or 4 R-chassis. By comparison there were a lot of Civics from that era but in all there were about 10 - 12 EG/EK Civic Type R.  Euro exotics are always there in large numbers, led by Liberty Walk...... say what you will about kids using markers to scribble on a Ferrari F40, it did seem like a stunt to infuriate Ferrari enthusiasts, or Ferrari itself. I wonder if there's something more to it. Either way LBWK have done some heinous things to a Lamborghini Miura this time. They should stop now.
    • Engines and drivelines are not war stoppers for me mate, busted arse bodies and un-obtainium parts and panels are though Both cheap Brumbies I looked at had trashed tubs and a fair bit of rust
    • Stock O2 sensors are narrowband. They're useless once you're away from stoich. IE, useless for what you're trying to do. 10:1 will read the same as 14:1 from the stock O2 sensors. That is, they'll read rich. The same level of rich.
    • I agree once misfires happen it's basically worthless, but the hope is you can see what's happening in the run up to that.
    • You should totally get a Brumby, and then come pick up the Subaru Liberty GTB I have here. EJ25 Turbo, 6 speed manual from the sti (just no dccd), and the good rear diff. Drop all that into a Brumby and go have fun!
