RB20 v Z32 AFM question

Hi all,

quick question, whats is the maximum power you can get out of RB20 (providing all the other shit is up to scratch) using a RB20 AFM? How do they compare with Z32 300ZX AFMs in regards to tunability?

How would a RB20 AFM cope with 1.2 - 1.5bar boost being pumped through it? Hoping for around 230rwkw, is a Z32 AFM worth getting

I think the max for all R32 bits is about 240 ish rwkw....You maybe borderline with that boost....One cold night may push it over though.

See what the go is though. Z32 is good for 300 + (Steve had 321 rwkw with his z32)

Are you using PFC/Z32 setup on yours? hows it all coming along?

PFC and Q45 afm (got Q45 with plug for 300) so it worked out cheaper than the z32 :S

arent rb20 and rb25 AFMs the same? If so the the AFM would max out at around 200rwkws.

How much more resolution does a Q45 Afm have? Ill be hunting for a new AFm soon...

I believe it might make tuning a little harder because its got so much resolution ie harder to get a smooth tune if you are only looking for a little more over std ....hence why ppl go the z32 - 1 step up.

But then again i dont know shit, best to speak to someone who knows more, and has tuned cars with different types of AFM's....Shaun

see on ebay there are a couple of Q45 AFM there, for around $175 AU, hmmmmm.......

they are the same if not cheaper than the Z32 frrom the ones ive seen...well it beats paying $450 from the shops here for a second hand Z32 anyway
