RB25 stalling/shaking

I have a 1996 skyline gtst and it’s hesitating at higher rpm so I decided to change my spark plugs to possibly fix it. The plugs I put in are NGK bcpr7es. After I started driving it seemed fine at first then it started to shake and there was a loss of power. Also when I was coming to a light on my way home it stalled when I was decelerating. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Lots of things to search for here on this forum . . . 

but your first point of call would be . . . are the coil packs the standard ones ?

They have been cooked for the last 24 years !

Id start there !

The coil packs looked fine but that could be it and they are the standard ones

They might look fine, but generally if they're the OEM ones since 1996 then there's a very high chance they're anything but fine.

And if you do decide to replace them, steer clear from red, yellow, pink, green, etc. ones. They need to be either black (OEM, 370Z, R35) or blue (genuine Splitfire).

In all seriousness, you have asked a question that has been asked more times on this forum over the last 25 years than you have had hot dinners. Search. There are dozens of possibilities, all documented.

Try to search for this: coil packs, coilpacks, AFM, air flow meter, IACV, idle air control valve

After you have done extensive researching, and your issue isn't fix, update this thread. If in doubt, replace engine with LS V8
