Teagz
Hey, so I'm pretty sure but not 100% think that my stag decided that 6 cylinders was too much. Getting a mate to bring his scan tool around this arvo to test and see what's going on (hoping it my just be a spark plug or coil pack). So I was wondering what engine swaps can be done in my 1997 series 1 body series 2 engine. If I'm just better off with a straight swap with another rb25 or if there may be something better but not too expensive? And if anyone's has done as swap and what to look out for or what you had trouble with. GTSBoy
Unless you want a significant project, the only sensible swap is the same for same. As RBs are not exactly thick on the ground these days, you may get a better, faster, more trustworthy result from actually rebuilding it. Oh, and don't expect the scan tool to tell you that you have a dud plug or coil. The ECU can't really tell. It can tell you about faulty sensors, and that's pretty much it.
