I don't know shit about shit when it comes to forums. My name is Ronald I am from the half assed state of Illinois and I currently and likely forever own a TH1 R32 GTR that is undergoing surgery by myself in my garage. I am here to learn as much as I can and come across deals I don't need as often as I can!

Full strip down of block, getting machined and forged. Stating twin because I appreciate the hidden turbo look that stock layout offers. Painting the engine bay rose gold also!

In the first pic . . why are all those guys looking at your Skyline ?  . . . . .ah America . . . I forgot Fast & Furious . . . . .

Probably much the same reaction you would get here in Oz if you turned up to a car rally in a 78 Pontiac with a massive chook on the bonnet.  Cars are cars and the more diverse you get the more interesting the things are.  Guessing an R32 is an uncommon site in the US.

C'mon feel the Illinoise.

Hello Wisconsin!......wait, wrong state, um.....

Hey Kenosha!.....wait. Um. Still wrong. Um...

Gary. The most dangerous city in the mid west. Oh. hell. Still wrong.

Um? Is the wind off the lake cold at this time of year? (I was working on the steel plant on the other side of the state line in East Chicago a few years ago at this time of year and it was focking awful.

Here's some useful math for everyone:

How to convert US Horsepower into actual Horsepower (ATW).

(US HP Claim) x 0.80 = actual HP.

This also works for HSV's except it's (HSV owner claim) x 0.75 = actual HP.

Well I mean I can dig out my Dyno sheets.

    • Excuse me for butting in....but which part of ADHD can be considered a superpower? I would have though it far more likely that some ASD comorbidity is more likely to be contributing to an ability to hyperfocus on something. ADHD being aimed somewhat in the other direction. My shed looks like your shed. My whiteboard list of unfinished projects has entries going back 15 years. I know what you're talking about - I just struggle to connect ADHD to the results being discussed.
    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
