How hard is it to be done?

Basically me and a few other people seem to think that my car might already have aftermarket cams, as my car has a slight lumpy idle.

So i was told if i remove the rocker cover, i would be able to tell if the cams are standard or not.

Is this correct, and how hard is it to do?

I havent dont it on an RB, but I have done it on another Nissan motor to check and lubricate after it had been sitting for a year. It was just a matter on undoing the bolts and levering it off? Just be careful not to damage the gasket.

Anything in the way obvisouly should be disconnected and reconnected afterward.

take off the items u usually need to whenm removing the sparke plugs...ie crossover pipe, and coil cover. The undo the 20 or so phillips head screws around the rocker covers...be careful not to shag the rubber sealing gasket, or buy a new one if your worried.

Not too hard, just remember what comes off when, then reverse the process to put back on...simple:)
