Resprayed - Climate Control Auto Mode now Buggered

I sent the my R32 in after a little ding to get a full respray.

I got the car back and the A/C wasn't working.

They stuffed the regas and had too much water in the system.

At this point the Climate control was working perfectly.

I dropped the car back in for 3 weeks which they resprayed the whole car again due to massive paint runs, the paint being too dry and horrid orange peel.

I've got the car back today and everything is fine A/C is working again BUT The climate control is doing strange things.

Before: Hitting the A/C or ECON button would change the air to the vents and ramp up the fan speed, while engaging the A/C.

After: Hitting the A/C or ECON button now sends air to the feet and won't ramp up the fan or turn the a/c on. The air stays at amb temp.

Pressing the Fan button to turn the system in to manual mode will ramp up the speed but the air will still stay at amb with no a/c clicking in.

The only way to get the A/C to cut in is by holding down the Cool button which then turns it to FC mode.

Before: Hitting the Demister button would change the air direction to the windows, turn on the A/C and ramp up the fan speed.

After: Hitting the demister button will change the air direction, turn on the A/C but it won't ramp up the fan speed. Then after around 30secs the air will go slightly warm.

Any idea's any one?

was the car baked when you got it resprayed? may have effected electrics?

Sure was. Its been baked twice now.

Hi Joel,

You should check that they haven't removed the External Air Temp Sensor located in front of the radiator.

Its a small rectangular device, roughly 6cm in length connected by a plug.

I've done a few things at once.

Checked the external air temp sensor.. It appeared not to be plugged in properly.

Checked the sun load sensor. It appeard to have a bit of crap on it.

It seems to be working fine now so thank goodness for that.

This happend to my uncles R32 but his completely fell off.
