PPG 5 Speed Straight Cut Dog Box For Sale

Hi all bit of a EOI currently have my dog box apart and tossing up selling it, it has traveled 500km's before i pulled it and had it dissembled due to some issues shifting which turned out to be due to poor assembly (I'm not naming the shop as they shut down a few years ago).

The Gear-set is currently out of the case and can be inspected, currently there is damage to one of the dogs, (i will update the damaged parts and upload photos this afternoon). Instead of slapping it together flogging it off I'm being 100% honest with the condition and what parts need to be replaced. As the dog box is currently a gearbox shop in Syd i have a few options which will vary the price.

enough damage worth replacement, if the shop that was open that put it together they would be wearing the main-shaft up their backside

Parts needed: 3/4 inner hub, 1/2 outer hub dogs, 2nd gear

im looking to make a quick sale as i'm having another box built

      Those brackets are known for snapping. Easy to fix the metal, and a good seat reupholsterer can fix the rest. I'd potentially get them to look at making new foam too. Even if you've got the old, it will be partly compressed / not as supportive as it should be.

      Yep that's a superb price and ther is no way you will over capitalise on you investment.  As to the bracket, again just use the passenger side seat  bracket ( obviously reversed ) as a sample to reshape it and in this case, TIG it back together.

      I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)
