I'm after some nice holding, yet fairly comfortable seats for my r33 gtst. I'm not interested in China brides, I also don't want to dick around welding brackets in/to the seat rails or chassis - let's keep it simple and high quality.

Is it too much to ask for a driver's seat under $2k, that fits like factory with the seat rail slider that's easily sourced in Australia (closer to w.a the better). I don't really care about the passenger getting flung around ??

With her popular skylines are I didn't think it'd be hard to source some half decent seats.

Please don't suggest gtr seats, too hard to source atm due to coronavirus and they've had 20+ years of juices slammed into them.

Thank you ?

Yes its too much to ask.  Aftermarket seats are usually race seats which you probably don't want. So you are restricted to a few other Nissan Models such as 350Z, Fuga etc and not all of them will bolt straight in. So you can do what I did - buy some Recaros from an Evo or a Honda etc but then you have to get a suitable frame and sliders and make them all fit. This will then require certifying - often with new seat belt mounts that bolt to the floor or tunnel.

Are you happy to use fixed back seats? Going fixed back saves you a heap of cash and you can get it done for well under $2,000.

A set of bride rails say $450 ish, a nice Velo seat say $1,100 with plenty of beer money to spare.

Fixed back seats can be comfy too, there are shit fixed back and nice fixed back, you'll just need to see what works for you.

I don't mind fixed back, but my mate got yellowed for having a fixed back sparco in his. I believe it may be legal if registered as a two seater I'll need to look into it.

Maybe getting a set of gtr seats retrimmed will be the best option.

Hmm the Velo seats are ADR complaint which is a good starting point, if it's only the drivers seat I'd kindly explain to the officer that the rear seat can be accessed through the front passenger seat.

Using GTR seats will depend on what you want them to do. I currently use GTR seats, have a half cage and harness for the track. I still can't wait to get fixed back seats in.

If it was a street car only, GTR seats are amazing. Good compromise on support and comfort.

R32 and R33 GTR seats will bolt straight in.   R34 GTR seats will need a minor modification to the mounts - but not a big deal.

How can that be true as r34 gtr seats bolt directly into r33 gtrs.

i think it’s gtt that has a different bolt pattern
